Robert E. Lee Class of 1954
The REL Class of 1954 had our 53rd reunion July 14, 2007. That morning at 9AM the class met at the Baytown Historical Museum on Defee, the (Old Goose Creek Post Office). Of course many memories were brought back.
Then the class met at the Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Ferry Road in old Cedar Bayou at 11: 30 A.M.
Meat, plates, napkins, plastic ware, cups, coffee, tea and ice were provided from class funds. The class brought either a salad, veggie or dessert. The fellowship hall offered a full kitchen (stove with oven, microwave, serving spoons, etc.)
A Silent Auction was held, raising quiet a bit of money for the class fund for things such as this.
The reuinon committe was made up of Annette Hernandez, Asa Ray Walker, Doris Edgar, Geraldine Nichols, Georgia Ruth Shannon, Joy Ewing, Pauline Dickerson, Olga McClain, and Lenora Canfield.

Of course the first and most important thing was to chow down.
The only complants were that the plates were to small. (Well, we were there to eat). |
