| Mary Ann Kaps Naser No Address After 4 years at North Texas State University, I taught 2 year in Ft. Worth and one in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I sang in several choirs and one opera chorus during these years. My goal was to work in Germany, especially after spending the summer of ‘59 with my mother’s family in the Black Forest. For that memorable my mode of transportation was the fastest ocean liner of the time -- the SS United States. The crossing of the Atlantic took only four and one half days!!! I got my first teaching position in Germany in 1961 and taught there until 1964. I spent the following year in Minneapolis, after which I headed north to Goose Bay, Labrador where I directed two choirs and did the news on TV. It was back to Germany in 1966 and I’ve been here since. I have a home, a job, friends, relatives, great traveling opportunities, a wonderful dog------a good life! I believe in keeping fit and eating healthy. I lift weights, have a mountain bike, walk daily at least an hour, hike, do stretching and trampoline jumping. I hope to begin roller-blading this summer. Singing is still one of my greatest joys; I hope to do lots of it when I eventually retire and have more ‘free time”. This is a very brief summary--my adventures, trips, travels, etc. I won’t even begin to mention. |

| Alma Kitzman-Rodrigue 933 Westfield Dr., Anna, TX 75409, 972-924-7115, mitzeebeth@yahoo.com The past five years have been just as interesting as the previous years since graduation. With a move from the Dallas area to Jacksonville in East Texas and a marriage to a Louisiana Cajun, there hasn’t been time to be bored. Husband Rida and I have enjoyed our lives here and have purchased a home within the past year. We find a LOT of projects to keep up busy. We consider finding our ‘ideal place’ a blessing as I have a yard filled with pecan and other fruit trees as well as flower gardent to spend my leisure time. At every opportunity, we enjoy taking the travel trailer to State Parks for relaxation or venturing out for a day riding our Honda Gold Wing. I have retired from the work scene while Rida is employed by Trane Air Conditioner Manufacturing in Tyler. Our time is spent enjoying family and friends as well as serving in various church and community activities. I spend on day a week working in the Soup Kitchen at the H.O.P.E. Center and serve on the Advisory Board. Our membership at the First Christian Church includes communion Chairman, Deacon, choir members and serving on the Benevolence and Membership Committees. We are in the process of building a workshop where Rida can restore his 1966 Chevelle race car back to a street model so we can add Car Shows to our list of things to do! Ain’t life grand? (Alma recently lost her husband) 2004: Since our 45th Class Reunion there have been several major changes in my life. My marriage of almost five years ended abruptly when Rida was killed in a wreck, shattering my life and so many plans for the future. But, the |

Hope you had a great one! 2009: My life hasn't changed much since I wrote before, except I travel back to Hawaii as often as possible to the beach. I snorkel and just enjoy it. I take a cruise at least once a year with each of my children (one at a time). Then I gave each grandchild (4) a cruise with me for graduation. They all had a blast. One is in the AF, two are married and out of college and another is still in college. Maybe gonna have a "great" next year! |

| sweet wonder of it all is that everything happens exactly as it is meant to.......life goes on. I moved into Jacksonville proper and remodeled a lovely house which seemed to keep my mind occupied during the recovery period. Retirement is definitely my cup of tea after so many years in the work field and there is nothing like being a free spirit when the opportunity arises. It is still a pleasure to be of service in church and within the community such as serving in H.O.P.E.'s Soup Kitchen, being a member of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs in the Trinity District, serving as Treasurer for the New Summerfield Lions Club and Secretary of the Board at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, serving on the Capital Improvement Team, Treasurer of the Christian Women's Fellowship, and also serve as Elder. One of the most memorable times was the opportunity to celebrate my 65th birthday with my "bestest friend" Doris Edgar Jasper. You see, she is almost three months older (which I never let her forget!) so we planned a trip of all trips to celebrate that special time: Tahiti, Bora Bora and Morea in French Polynesia! It was a beautiful adventure with a lot of picture taking. Now, where will we take off to for number 70? My two daughters, Karen in Richardson, Texas and Janice in Van Alstyne, Texas are such a big part of my life along with four grandchildren who manage to get together each summer at Six Flags.....they are precious. Here's looking forward to a grand gathering in June, 2004! |
