   Philip Lea, passed away on Feb. 5, 2005, in Shreveport, LA, where he had lived for the past 37+ years.  He died of adenocarcinoma of the liver, which was diagnosed just 2 months before he died. He was cremated and his cremains
were buried at the Houston National cemetary.
     Philip served in the US Army from 6-12-60 to 5-25-62.  He was stationed in Germany. He  graduated from

2003:I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1958 and later received a Master’s in Education from the University of Houston.  My oldest daughter Nancy Elizabeth Binford (Mrs. Lincoln Binford) and her husband, both graduated from Rice University. Lincoln is an independent financial investor. Nancy is graduating from the University of Texas SW Medical School in Dallas this June and will do her internship at Parkland Hospital, Dallas, as a gynecologist.  They had a darling baby daughter, Emily, in January of this year!

After graduation I entered East Texas Baptist Univ. for one year.  I returned home and went to work for Citizens Nat. Bank and attended Lee College at night. 
In ‘56 entered Sam Houston
  My youngest daughter Martha Lea Moody (Mrs. John Moody) and her husband, both graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.  John is a financial analyst for E.D.S. (Ross Perot’s old company) in Dallas.  Lea resigned from her career as sales manager and director of advertising at The Summit in Dallas to be a full time mommy. They have a darling daughter, Madeline, who is four, and a darling one-year old son, Jacob.
   Our three sons are still unmarried.  Our oldest son, Michael, graduated from West Point in 1992.  He is career Army and is a helicopter pilot stationed at Ft. Drum near Watertown, New York.  Our middle son, Kirk, is a Junior at Texas Tech University, majoring in computer science (perhaps in girls also).  Our youngest son, Eric, well graduate from the University of Oklahoma at Norman in May of 1995 with a double major in marketing and computer science.  Dwight’s Energy Service in Oklahoma City has offered him a job and will pay for his last year of schooling.  He will marry Erika Bright on July 22 this summer.  Erika is an Oklahoma graduate this year and has been accepted at their Law School beginning this fall.
   I’m blessed to still have my parents, Mable and Lewis Leach.  He is 88 and she is 78. they play cards, dominoes, go to lots of barbecues, and travel some also.  They love to eat out!  They do a lot of volunteer work at their church to help the “old people” and the young.
   Roger and I have taught a Bible study class for the youth group at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church for nearly five years.  We’ve learned a lot from this beautiful experience.  The students are like a breath of fresh air!  Roger also teaches a Sunday school class for fifth and sixth grade boys!  I attend a Bible study at my church and do a lot of volunteer work there.  I also am involved in a regular Wednesday prayer group at the church, which is truly a blessing in my life!  We are thankful for all our blessings!

State.  I was a member of a drama group and in my senior year was president of the Baptist Student Union.  Graduated with a B.S. degree in ’59.
I went on active duty in the Army for 6 months and then served 5 ˝ years in the Air Force Reserves.
Was the Program Director for the Baytown YMCA until ’61. Then entered South Western Baptist Seminary (SWBS) in Fort Worth where I met my future wife, Beverly Carter.  I graduated from SWBS with a M.A degree in ’64 and Beverly and I were married. 
Was the program director for the Galveston YMCA for a
year and then returned to Fort Worth.  Entered the Univ. of North Texas to complete teacher certification work.  Then taught in Fort Worth public school for 26 years. During that time returned to Univ. of North Texas and earned a Master of Education degree.  Retired in 1993.
We had one daughter, Holly Paige. Holly now works for American Airlines.
In Nov. ’88 Beverly was diagnosed with cancer and after treatment, did reasonably well until the cancer returned in ’95.  In Nov ’95, Beverly passed away. As you can imagine, this had a devastating effect on me.  We had been married for over 31 years.
I now do some substitute teaching and anything else I feel like at the moment.

2010: G.F. "Cookie" Lancaster, 74, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010. Funeral: at Southcliff Baptist Church. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Cookie was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Baytown. He was a lifelong resident of Texas. Cookie received his first degree at Sam Houston State University and then moved to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He met the love of his life, Beverly, at church and they spent a love-filled life together for 32 years. Cookie was a teacher at McLean Middle School for 24 years and then continued substitute-teaching until he went to be with the Lord.  Cookie touched many lives over the years and will be missed by all who called him friend. Cookie was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Beverly. Survivors: Loving daughter, Holly Lancaster; brother, Barry Lancaster; and mother-in-law, Louise Carter.

Teresa Lee Armer, 72, of Baytown was born September 23, 1935 in Indian Gap and passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 in a local hospital. She was raised in Highlands and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College, where she was a cheerleader and was voted First Lady. She was also an avid quilter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ashford Armer and daughter-in-law, Daltrice Armer and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Edward Ells of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Laura Armer of Clear Lake and Larry and Dianne Armer and Ronnie and Ronda Armer, all of Baytown; sister, Kenda Shirley of League City; brother, Stanley Lee of Baytown; grandchildren, Shelby Ells, Cory Armer, Shawndrie Armer, Tanya Smith, Justin Armer, Emma Armer, and Kelly King; great grandchildren, Anabel Ruiz, Anika Campbell, Levi Campbell, and Hunter Cullum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Cloudt officiating. Burial followed at White Cemetery in Highlands.

James & I had six children and now have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Now, do I have to tell you what I have been doing the past 50 plus years?
   Seriously, James & I have had a wonderful life with only a few regrets and many great memories.
   We both have had some health problems, but we are still going strong.
   Looking forward to our 50th
anniversary and our 50 year reunion. James & I can't wait to see all of our classmates.
    We are both retired. Amen
