| Ann Mackrell Rejmaniak (Richard) 9323 Stroud, Houston, TX 77036 (281) 988-8051 These last 45 years have flown by. I married Richard Bejmaniak at Second Presbyterian Church on Nov. 17.1961. We moved to Midland, TX where he was working for Ohio Oil which later became Marathon Oil. We were very active with Midland Community Theatre. Our sons Matthew, 33, and Ronald, 30 were born there. We like to travel and we did a lot of traveling through Texas with them. We moved to Houston in 1971 and from there we moved to Lafayette, LA and then to Findlay, Ohio. We moved back to Houston in the summer of 1984. Dick retired around the time of our last reunion. We travel when the mood strikes. We have taken 2 cruises on the Greek ship Stella Solaris out of Galveston. Last year we went to Panama on the Stella Solaris. Our longest trip since Dick retired was to Hawaii. My cousin Corinne Stout Higbee and her husband traveled with us. We were gone for over 5 weeks staying mostly at Bed & Breakfasts for a week at the time. We also rented a 2-bedroom house, twice, for a week at the time. We took over 6 volumes, 3 inches thick of photos on that trip. Lots of varied scenery. In July of last year Dick had quadruple bypass surgery. He is more active than ever, going to many sporting events. We also attend concerts of all kinds. We are great spectators. We are having lots of fun. The grass does not grow under our feet. I still do cross-stitch, ribbon embroidery and quilting. We know all the restaurants with healthy heart foods. |

Both of our sons live in Chicago - one trades on the Mercantile Exchange and the other is a computer animator. Our daughter married an Aggie and they have given us our two wonderful granddaughters. They live in College Station. It is great having them close where we can spend lots of time with them. Kenneth was in manufacturing and, after moving several times, we settled in College Station. | here in Baytown and also had a lake home at Livingston where we all water-skied, fished and had many fun times. In ’88 I drew my house plans and built the home where I now reside. After my children were grown I became active once again in softball and played on city softball teams and the Seniors Softball League. Played in a tournament at the Astro Dome. Age was continuously marching on but I still wanted to remain active so I became a State Certified softball umpire for 6 years. During this time I umpired several State final games. Retired from umpiring at age 60. I was affiliated with a friend in bail bonding for 10 years. My friend knew I had an interest in police work and that I had acted as Chief of Police during our high school days when we filled city officials positions for a day. Along with Bail Bonding came the “real excitement” of bounty hunting. I just retired in Feb. ’04. I am now enjoying quality time with my family and friends. I do LOVE being retired. I have time to travel, fish, play dominoes, etc. |

| years for the Texas Cooperative Extension, a Texas A&M agency, and retired in January, 2001. Kenneth retired a few months earlier. Family and church activities take most of my time. The grandchildren are a real joy to us. Life has been good and we have been truly blessed. It has been a lot of fun helping the committee for our 50th Reunion. There are a lot of terrific folks in our class! 2009: It has been a busy five years. In August, 2005, our oldest son was married and while he lives in Chicago and married a girl from Chicago, they had a “distance wedding” in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. So Kenneth and I had a wonderful and eventful week in beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Seven months later in March, 2006, our other son who also lives in Chicago, got married. He married a girl from Chicago too, but this time the wedding was there. So we had a wonderful week in beautiful Chicago. Immediately after returning home from Chicago, we moved from College Station where we had lived for 25 years to McKinney about 25 miles north of Dallas. Our daughter and her family (our three grandchildren) had moved there and we were tired driving back and forth. Since we no longer had relatives in the College Station area, it seemed the logical thing to do. Kenneth and I have both really enjoyed living in McKinney and being close to the grandchildren. In May, 2008, I had the opportunity to go to Israel and Jordan. To say this was a wonderful trip would not describe it. It was the experience of a life-time. |

| Melvin retired as a CW3 in the Army National Guard with 40 years of service in 1987. We moved back to Houston and I have taught first grade at North Shore Elementary School in the Galena Park Independent School District for the last fifteen years. I retired on May 31, 2003. We still live in the North Shore area of Houston TX. Life has blessed us with five grandchildren; Kristy Reeves, deceased, Shelly Holleman, 17, Seth Walters, 15, Cara Walters, 14, and Macie Banner, 9 weeks old. You will find us grand parenting or fishing at our little cabin on Lake Livingston these days. God willing, we will see you at the reunion in 2004. 2009 Update: My information has changed some. I have added family. I have a husband of 54 years, Melvin Lankford, and two daughters; Joni Carney and Cari Banner. My grandchildren are: Kristy Reeves (deceased at 3 years and ten months of age with heart deformity), Shelly Holleman, Seth Walters, Cara Walters, Macie Banner, and Madison Banner. I have one great grandson born on my 70th birthday. He is Ethan Michael McWhorter. I am expecting another greatgrandchild. I had a severe brain stem stroke last July 31st, 2008. I was in the St. Lukes hospital until August 28, and went home to a hospital bed and five caretakers. ( Melvin and my twin, Wanda, were my primary source of help.) I was in rehab at the Texas Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for nine months three days a week four hours a day and now I can use a walker to get around and I can enjoy holding hands with my Melvin anytime I wish. My only restrictions are : 1) drink no alcohol, and 2) no driving. ( because of faulty balance) . I look forward to living to 100. I do not have a living will----I have the will to live. I hope I can "wheel" right into the reunion and see everyone again. |
