Hi, Everyone! Not too many changes in our lives. After becoming a nurse, I married a wonderful man in 1961 & became a housewife. We adopted two sons, one in 1961 & the second one in 1968, whom we have been very proud of. Our youngest son & his wife went to Romania in 1996 & adopted a beautiful 2 year old boy. In 1998, we sold our three companies, - no more barge shifting, barge fleeting & repairs, retired to a more relaxed life. In 1999, tragedy hit our family with the loss of our youngest son, & our daughter-in-law, shortly thereafter, remarried. Our precious grandson is 9 years old now. The year 2000, we built a new home in Bayou Oaks Estates here in Baytown. Our activities consist of my husband being active in the Masonic Lodge, fishing & flying, & I in the Eastern Star & still exercising the

After graduation I enlisted in the Air Force and decided to make it a career. While in the Air Force I met and married the late Laurna Morrison from Sydney Australia. We were blessed with two girls. My oldest daughter has two children, a boy and a girl, and they live in Waco. My youngest daughter has two daughters and they live in Austin. My grandson has a son, so I'm now a great grandfather.
After 26 years, I retired from the Air Force I stayed with the federal government and retired from Civil Service in 2000. I remarried again after 18 years of being single. I am married to Rosie Garces from San Antonio. Both of us are enjoying retired life. She is involved with church and community service. Me I just relax and play golf.
Update 2003:As to what I have been doing for the past 48 years. Got maried to Deanna Fontenot in August 1955. Joined the Army in January
I gained employment at Southland Paper Company, until it was sold to St. Regis, and then to Champion Paper Company. I was finally sold to a Canadian Company in 1998, at which time I retired from "gainful employment", and have been living at my present address since july 1980. The highest rank achieved in the navy way AK1, or Aviation Storekeeper First Class. I worked at the paper mill 22 years as issue clerk, stock clerk, receiver, and input receiver. I had three children, all girls, and two are married, and I have six grandchildren, three boys and three girls. My firstborn daughter is handicapped, and will live with my wife and I until we can no longer take care of her.

Graduate Univ. of TX Dental Branch. Retired from the Air Force as a Colonel in 1984. Stations included Viet Nam, Panama, Portugal and Spain. Lived in El Paso until 1993. Now own a farm in Chile. Fishing, panning gold, out of the Rat Race and enjoying a more peaceful life. Best wishes to all the gang. Maybe the next reunion.

After high school went to Lee College for two years. Married Gene Fletcher and had two boys, Kenny and Kirk.

2002 Ltr from Albert: All still Ok here in the uttermost land. No, I do not miss the Texas varmits, as we have none here_ no ants, mosquitoes, scorpions etc. No screens on our windows. No snakes. Pretty easey way to live.
But out in the boonies we have no telephone lines, hence no Internet. We do have cellular phone service, DIRECT TV antenna, so not isolated.
No guess when I can make a reunion. I have no blood relatives in Texas now. My Dad is in rest home in CO. (ED: Albert's Dad passed away a few years ago.)
Keep me on your '54 list. Always glad to hear from the old bunch

Attended Sam Houston State University after high school. I graduated in 3 years in 1957. I married and had a daughter (Lisa). We moved to Chicago, IL and had another daughter (Sheryl). (Ages 36 and 31 years old.) We moved to Denver, CO where we divorced. I raised my children and taught school. I came back to Houston in 1981. My oldest daughter has made me a grandmother. Two boys named Scott, 7, and Brian, 6. I now teach 4th grade for Pasadena Ind. School Dist. and live in Friendswood.
